Core Techniques for Enhancing Your Website
Effective SEO Content Writing tips: Writing content for SEO requires careful thought and preparation. You need to consider many factors — the structure of the text, images, graphics, keywords, the purpose of the text, and if you run a blog, the most important thing — what the reader will gain from it. Most importantly, without this last element, the benefit, no one will click on the title.
When does Google consider a text valuable for SEO?
You run a blog or a website of any kind. You don’t do it for nothing; you write and create content to make a profit. Usually, this is a business that aims to make money online. First and foremost, you want to build authority through knowledge. The goal is to attract attention and draw in as many customers as possible. For this to happen, Google must first consider the content on your site valuable.
How can we describe the search engine? It’s best to simplify it as one big algorithm. It contains conditions that content must meet to begin ranking it.
Below is a screenshot of my favorite WordPress plugin for SEO, Yoast SEO. The plugin functions similarly to the search engine and shows what it pays the most attention to.
The search engine is focused on consumer rights. One could say it concentrates on the user. It cares about their safety online and does not want them to encounter dishonest businesses. Therefore, it pays attention primarily to the quality of the published content.
How to Start Writing SEO Content?
Pay attention to two important issues. The first is what you will write about, and the second is the keyword. Consider what keywords you can use.
Think about the structure of the content — this article will help you:
Basics of Writing Articles for the Internet
It’s good to aim for an interesting, long, and substantively valuable text, especially in the beginning when you start writing for a blog. Later, once you have a considerable number of fans and customers, you can relax a bit. Then it becomes an adventure of writing for passion—or so-called flow.
What conditions should the text meet?
SEO content writing needs chosse right keywords.
When publishing on a blog, it is best to include one keyword in each article. This makes it more visible and readable to search engines. Whether you run a blog on WordPress (currently the most popular) or another platform, the principles of writing articles are the same.
Keyword placement:
- Article title — obvious; it might also start with the word “how.” Tutorials are often titled this way, and the word “how” indicates a benefit.
- Subheading — if someone is skilled, they can place them in every other title.
- Paragraph — in the first paragraph, right at the beginning. It may also appear later.
The number of keywords in the text should not be too high. The reason is simple. Google might then determine that it is keyword stuffing. Such gibberish written for the sake of SEO. Naturally, a person does not write a large number of keywords in the text. Such things are only done deliberately and on commission.
Unique text is important for SEO content writing.
A unique text is one written in your own words. That is the best kind. Not the copied and slightly modified type. Such things are the first to be checked by a search engine. Writing such a text can be very challenging, especially in the beginning. The main difficulty will likely be the keyword. Because of it, the text may seem sterile, lacking the “soul” or the writer’s character. However, if someone is skilled, they can handle it without a problem. I believe it’s a matter of practice. That’s why many people simply outsource such tasks to specialists — copywriters.
I’ll add one more thing… Not only does the text need to be unique, but it also needs to be long. I’m sorry. Exactly that. It doesn’t have to be as long as a master’s thesis, but at least as long as this one. Google dreams of texts of at least 1000 words. Such a text would be really good. Then it will definitely score a 6+.
Multimedia – nice pictures, videos.
As for images, this includes photos, illustrations, and even infographics. Everything should have an ALT attribute containing keywords, which are entered in the image properties. This is called the alternative text. Besides, this format is flexible. It conveys knowledge, practical information, and can be published on social media.
Videos. YouTube is the second largest search engine and the most popular for viewing. Your video should also have keywords strategically placed just like in text — in the title and description. Additionally, it’s a great way to enrich the content on your website. Did you know that reading is not a natural activity for humans? That’s why this format is so popular.
Additionally, this extends the time a reader spends on a particular page. Google interprets this as an indication that the reader likely read the text to the end. If they read it to the end, it means that valuable content is published on that page. Logical, right? Then you’ll win the search engine’s favor.
One more thing. If you add multimedia to the text, do it thoughtfully. Not blindly, just because it must be there, because Google wants it. Add photos that match the text. They can be unusual, but always relevant to the context. An example could be at the end of the article Basics of Writing Articles for the Internet.
What Will I Gain from This?
This element primarily concerns articles written for a blog, or possibly corporate offers. It relates to, for example: solving a problem, imparting knowledge, or what benefit a person will have after reading the text. Additionally, the article can be an extension of a corporate offer.
How does it work? Often, a company lists its offer in bullet points. However, these bullet points can often lead to confusion—nice, but what’s it about? As a result, the customer doesn’t engage. Oh dear, and so much money was spent on that website. However, you can link each point of the offer to an article describing the service. This makes the website appear lively and purposefully built. Additionally, you score points as someone knowledgeable in the eyes of more demanding customers. Here, you build not only authority but also trust.
AI as Your Assistant
Embracing artificial intelligence (AI) as your assistant can revolutionize the way you manage SEO content writing. AI tools streamline the process of identifying optimal keywords, ensuring your SEO content writing is not only relevant but also ranks higher in search results. These tools can analyze vast amounts of data to suggest trends and topics that are currently engaging audiences, making your SEO content writing efforts more effective. Moreover, AI can automate repetitive tasks such as proofreading and formatting, freeing you to focus on the creative aspects of SEO content writing. By integrating AI into your workflow, you’re not just keeping up with technology—you’re leveraging it to create more compelling and targeted content that resonates with your audience.
Additionally, it’s important to understand the licensing conditions when using AI-generated content. The content you create with the help of AI, as long as it is not mindlessly copied, belongs to you and you retain the rights to sell it. This ensures that while AI aids in the creation process, the final work is your intellectual property and can be utilized as such, including for commercial purposes. Always ensure that the use of AI in content creation complies with applicable laws and respects the guidelines of any platforms used.
